Lucoli is not far from the ski resort of Campo Felice (in Rocca di Cambio). Lucoli The name derives from the Latin "Luculus" sacred grove. Its first inhabitants were the Sabines, but the first recorded early Middle Ages. The settlement grew out of some groups of peasants who had gathered around the Benedictine monastery of St. John the Baptist, patron saint of Lucoli.
