Introdacqua at an altitude of 640 meters and a population of about 1700 inhabitants. Post near Sulmona, the country devoted primarily to agriculture is dominated by the ruins of an ancient castle of medieval origin. It owes its name to the location between two rivers.
The village is dominated by a walled medieval fortress, which preserves a square tower recently restored. In the highest part of the site on Mount Plaia, are preserved remains of megalithic walls that show the presence of Italian people. In the town deserve attention Trasmondi the building and the parish church of SS. Annunziata has a Romanesque bell tower with works of the '500, '600 and '700.
