Pretoro center is greatly appreciated as winter sports resort. There are, in fact, plants and Passolanciano Majelletta. Plants Passolanciano start at 1305 meters with three seats, the new chairlift "Piston", open in summer, and reaches a height of 1620, with a ski lift, chair lift, 8 km of alpine ski slopes and 7 km of Nordic skiing. About 5 km away from Passolanciano and up the Majelletta that from 1600 meters of the base of the lifts is up to 2100, with six ski lifts of different levels of difficulty and length, going to fill a large amphitheater of snow, for a total of 10 km of alpine ski runs and 8 km of Nordic skiing.
The district Passolanciano / Majelletta is equipped to accommodate large numbers of visitors all year. There are, in fact, six hotels, with spacious rooms and equipped with all comforts. Recently formed the new management company of the basin, "Majella SpA make operating a development program of the structures connecting the ski area. Are scheduled to brief several new chairlifts and drag lifts which will connect the stations Passolanciano Majelletta and greatly increasing the length and quantity of ski runs.
